This is my favorite collagen protein shake recipe. I like to drink this shake from time to time after a nice 20-hour intermittent fast. It’s easy to digest and will not fill you up.
Collagen Protein Shake Recipe
- 100% green vegetable juice
- 20g collagen protein powder
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fish oil.
I like to add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar because the acetic acid in the vinegar helps control blood sugar. I want to make sure I’m getting enough omega-3s in my diet, so I add 1 tablespoon of fish oil. I also want to make sure I’m consuming enough potassium in my diet, so I mix the shake with 100% green vegetable juice, which is only 70 calories and has over 1000 mg of potassium. Most people don’t get anywhere near enough potassium in their diet. The adequate intake for potassium is over 4,000 mg per day, so green vegetable juice is a great low-calorie potassium source.
