Mike Cola Fitness (formally Forever Fit) was founded in 1989, in Westchester, NY by Mike Cola. Mike gave his clients an alternative to the mass market, do-it-yourself approach to fitness. He provided the most recent scientific research along with years of practical experience to design effective one-on-one fitness programs specifically tailored to the needs of each client.
Mike Cola Fitness raised the bar for personal training by giving results that were more then just cosmetic. Clients obtain a heightened state of health along with an energized feeling that keeps them coming back year after year. Mike Cola Fitness has grown into one of the most successful personal fitness companies in Westchester, NY & Greenwich, CT. They have also expanded their services to include nutritional counseling, Muscle Activation Techniques-MAT, small group classes and alternative fitness (mobility movement).

My Creation Story
I first got interested in fitness when I was a kid watching the Jack LaLanne TV show with my grandmother. My grandmother and I would exercise along with Jack and I really liked his message “Feel better, look better and live longer…with exercise nutrition and positive thinking”. No one back then was talking about exercise. I remember saying to myself…I would love to have a TV show like this one day.
The 1970s is when bodybuilding started to take off in the US and I was right there experiencing it. All of a sudden every young guy wanted muscles. I was a big fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane and some of the original old school bodybuilders like Steve Reeves (Hercules). I had a passion and desire to feel and look strong. I enjoyed playing sports but felt more at home in the gym training. For me the best part of the day was the feeling you get right after a good workout…I’ve been chasing that feeling my whole life.
When I graduated college in 1984 I was somewhat lost…I wanted a career in fitness but back then there were mostly struggling mom and pop type gyms with minimum wage positions. I was already working in gyms during college making next to nothing but loved the gym culture anyhow. It did not seem like work to me…I just wanted to be there.
Then all of a sudden in the late 1980s personal training hit New York. I was working in a small personal training studio in SoHo, NY training celebrities, models and powerful professionals. Personal training exploded and there were not enough trainers so in 1989 I decided to go out on my own and start a personal training business in the footsteps of Jack LaLanne.
I’ve been a gym owner and fitness training helping people for over 30 years and I’ve loved every minute of it. My mission now through my YouTube channel is to reach more people and give everyone “Practical Lifestyle Strategies To Stay Fit” just like Jack LaLanne did. I have always felt a strong feeling of accomplishment when I can improve the quality of someone’s life. That keeps me smiling all day long.

Due to COVID-19, I have taken precautions in order to keep my clients healthy and safe!
Adding air filtration with UV light to collect airborne particles and kill viruses. I also plan on spacing clients out 30 minutes between sessions and wiping down and sterilizing all equipment.
Adding an outdoor space in also in the works!
